(24/7 MARKET NEWS) Biotechs hardly made a peep this week, but blockchain/fintech, energy, electric vehicles, and a few select plays more than made up for the biotechs.
We first covered Toughbuilt Industries (NASDAQ: TBLT) last week and this gem ended this week is about 300% higher since last week. Today’s low volume, but large price pullback, in this morning’s premarket, was incredibly bullish and Toughbuilt responded in multiple waves higher. Keep this one on the radar, because, if it can consolidate at its current levels, it looks like it may make another run higher.
We covered multiple winners in this recently dead space.
Applied Blockchain (NASDAQ: APLD) Stronghold Digital (NASDAQ: SDIG) were among the multiple winners in the blockchain/fintech space, but the biggest mover was Pagaya Technologies Ltd (NASDAQ: PGY), after closing last week at $2.70, closed today at $11.71, up $6.36 (+118.88%), on 65,929,617 shares traded. Again, its price action in this morning’s premarket was the confirmation that today would be another big day for Pagaya.
Likewise, for Acutus Medical (NASDAQ: AFIB) and its premarket action, yesterday, before it made a sweet 50+% intraday move.
Vertical Aerospace Ltd. (NYSE: EVTL) is a unique EV play that we caught early. It has nearly tripled in that timeframe, is holding to most of its gains and may be positioned for another leg higher.
Biotech’s been quieter than usual, but it’s not going anywhere. Take, for example, Exela Technologies (NASDAQ: XELA) is an almost unknown biotech listing, yet it consistently trading on big volume, as it traded billions of shares this week.
Speaking of consistency, Target Hospitality (NASDAQ: TH) has hit new 52-week highs most days this month and looks like its support levels are following.
